Caregiver for Elderly
“`Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team (ASIANS, Latina HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO APPLY).
Duties:
– Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
– Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
– Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
– Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
– Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
– Escort residents to appointments and outings
– Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior
– Provide dementia care and memory support to residents with cognitive impairments
– Respect and uphold resident rights and dignity at all times
Requirements:
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– Experience in dementia care and memory care preferred
– Knowledge of assisted living regulations and best practices
– Ability to lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics
– First aid certification is a plus
– Proficient in taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
– Direct support professional (DSP) certification is a plus
